There was a very nice lady who lived in Cholul, Merida, Yucatan in Mexico. She came back to the U.S. and surrendered herself. I don't know her last name, but would love to find her. Old friends and neighbors all ask about her and would love to do anything we can to help her - especially if it means helping her resettle in Cholul when she is free. If anyone knows of a Marquie from Cholul, ...

First timer heading to Riu Yucatan April 15-20. Have read various things about best rooms etc. Question is how accomodating are the front desk people. Should I immediately ask to be placed in a specific block? Block 1, 3rd floor actual king beds!. I just dont want to seem like a pushy guy and get stuck somewhere less desireable. besides some cash, any suggestions?

We just spent a disappointing week at the Riu Yucatan because the beach is closed and all "free non motorized water sports" are not longer free or even available to do in the ocean. You can't walk on the beach. You can't even lie near the beach unless you can tune out the huge front loader and other huge machinery beeping and growling while they moved 15 foot pipes around. Glad the ...

Our neighbors and very good friends just returned Wednesday evening from the Yucatan. They have had 4 or 5 visits to Playa, never an AI resort. They were over several months ago and we told them that we booked at the Yucatan. They checked it out and booked themselves. They are fun laid back people just like us. Not picky at all. That being said...Here is what they experienced:...

I know the Grand Sirenis is a farther away from Cancun , does any one have have tips/experience from these 2 resorts? Who has the better rooms/food(kid friendly)/what type of beer(for Dad)/entetrtainment at night etc..... Jack Jo

This is my first post everyone, hello... My girlfriend (Erin) and I (Jim) have been cruising for a little over 3 months now. We came from Seneca lake in NY and are now anchored by Fort Myers FL. We used the ICW for the majority of time but we have ventured outside a bit too. So my question is, where should we go next ??? The Yucatan maybe down to Belize, or the Bahamas?? Please keep in mind ...

Can anyone give me any information regarding golf near the resort? I did read there is a course across the street, a nine hole course, can anyone give me any info on price and what to expect? My husband wants to try golfing down in Mexico and we are not sure what to expect down there. Thanks in advance for any information.

Can someone please give me their opinion on a superior room, and a suite. Is a suite worth that extra money for a week, or is a superior just as fine. Leaving in 3 more sleeps :)

My niece got married January 20th on the beach in Mexico (can't remember the name of the town - in the Yucatan Pennisula) and we had the reception on Saturday. I was at the hall at 9am and we worked hard setting up a beautiful beach themed hall. At lunch I had 1/4 of a Subway sandwich, then I was helping serve the food (bbq to fit the theme...and, we are in Kansas City, so we do have the best ...

We are planning to sail from Florida to Panama and then on to NZ in the coming months. For the first part to Panama we are stopping in Cuba (North Coast) then Yucatan and on down to Panama. I have not heard of any need to send advance notice of arrival by email to any of these respective countries' agencies. If so, any websites would be appreciated. Does anyone have recent experiences to ...

We just got back from our trip to the Yucatan and had a really nice tour from USA Transfers entertainment-plus.net/tour_tulum_coba_priva… We were picked up at our hotel right on time by Ariel. He was a joy to work with and introduced himself as Ariel "Not the little mermaid". The vehicle was very comfortable and air conditioned. Ariel even had a cooler for ...

Hi, hopefully someone can clear this up. We had friends staying at Catalonia Riv maya, which was next door to the Yucatan, seems ok, nice place. We was staying at GP, so we went out of the Peurto Aventuras main gate and turned left, and a few miles down the road on the ocean side there's another entrance that boldly has CATALONIA written on the brick wall, on the other side ...

Remember the "cement cubes" they talked about? Here is a link www.yucatan.com.mx/noticias/Aimagen.asp… to a picture of the breakwater by Punta Cancun in front of the Hyatt Regency and Krystal Hotels. My guess is that it will certainly help at least those beaches which are usually the first to be eroded. President Felipe Calderon of Mexico will be in Cancun ...
