Ive been running this operating system for about a year now with no problems. In the last few days however, whenever I shut down the system, everything goes fine until it exits the desktop and goes to the blue background. Spent lots of hours looking for drivers, but did find only Realtek Network and Synaptics Pointing drivers. Looks like it works and have no issues. Hi I found some, but not all of them unfortunately. Problems: ATI Radeon Graphics - CCC drivers didn't work even after I tried to use mobility modder. Sound card, Mass Storage Controller, Wi-Fi, etc. - no luck at all. Only Touchpad drivers - no issues. I did a similar test with my laptop running Windows 7. I unlocked an achievement in Tinker on it, then quickly exited the game before it was synced with my profile. Then waiting about 15 min or so to make sure it hadn't updated and transferred the profile (by copying the xlive content folder) and save to my Windows XP x64 computer. See if it hangs when shutting down and running add/remove programs in Safe Mode as well, if Safe Mode shut down and add/remove programs functions properly, then it is probably some program you installed and you can try disabling/uninstalling them one by one. Or it could be a driver that needs to be updated or perhaps even a piece of hardware going bad. Could be difficult to diagnose, so be ...
