I've successfully upgraded one of my machines (i686) using the "preupgrade" command. So I gave it a whirl on an X86_64 machine which has an Nvidia card with the follwoing message: "Failed to copy anacdump.txt to /mnt/sysimage/root" I've also tried upgrading from a DVD, but both it also gives the same error. I have AMD 64 bit processor and ive noticed when installing programs through Autoten that it install i686 instead of x86_64. Are i686 and x86_64 the same or is i686 compatible with AMD 64 and only used when x86_64 is not available? Thanks in advance.

I have an ACER Aspire 5515 laptop with Win7 and the Fedora 11 x86_64 base distro on it. This machine uses the Atheros AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter. The wireless driver shipped in Fedoera 11 does not work. The LAN connection has died on my machine (even Win7 can't see it) so I cannot use yum to update the wireless driver.
