Hey guys lost my windows xp pro cd but i have the product key.......is there any way to download a cd version from microsoft so i can install my new hard drive........i tried the bootable non cd-rom floppy disk link but when i tried that my pc gave me a "4101 error" and wouldn't work......PLEASE let me know what i can do.......i'm lost.

I am trying to make a bootable windows XP home CD. What I would like to know is, what size and type of CD will I need. CD-R? CD-WR? I'm thinking at least 1gig. thanks in advance, Seltioasa

Sounds like he wants to make a ghost copy of the system, if thats what he wants to do he will need imaging software, so get on google and download what you want, however this won't help if the current system is in bad shape. The best thing is to get a legit copy of windows and do a clean install.

No, XP is a lot harder because by design, it doesn't load USB drivers the same way it does CD drivers I'm not sure of the internals of it, but basically it's not a simple copy/paste job.
