I am just getting started in casting my own and am looking for some advice. I have managed to gather up a five gallon bucket of lead from electrical wire from a friend that was used as insulation. I also managed to gather up about 2/3's of a bucket of WW's and need to know if i should clean them before i make ingots from them. If I should clean them what is the best process for doing so? thanks ...

I just had my BFGs mounted on my new Alcoas Friday. I failed to ask them to just put the weights on the inside of the wheel. They are balanced perfectly and ride smooth at all speeds. However i looked at them yesterday and the lead weight was "leaking" gray on to my tire. It could have been the 1 ft of snow and all the salt on the roads causing this, but i dont like it at all. I have never ...

I'm curious if anyone knows what the wheel weight is for OEM RS4 wheels. If I consider buying any wheels I want to know what weight savings I might be looking at. Thanks!

Discount Tire's failure to list wheel weights is frustrating. Does anyone know the weight of a 15" MB Gear? Which others are less than 15 lbs? Thanks. Peter

This morning I went out to pick up a friend and I noticed that when I was traveling about 50mph my whole steering and my car started shaking really badly. It was so bad that I thought my wheels was gonna fall off. So I called the dealership and made an appointment to come in today. They told me that they have to keep the car until tomorrow because they thought that the snow got stuck in ...

Something I started recently is to keep a can of that burn spray medication on the bench. I haven't needed it luckily. But if the pot does spit a little on you, I'm told it will lessen the depth of the burn considerably.

When I have my mustang rims balanced, thats what I have to have used. If they use clip on weights on the inside, they got knocked off when I turn the steering wheel to full lock b/c the wheels rub on the sway bar. When I would balance tires, if the person only wanted weight on the inside, thats usually what I would use, instead of the clip on weights.

i bought a spare HRE wheel off of eBay. should look neat hanging on the wall in my office. eBay auction figured i'd be a hypocrit if i didn't weigh it ;). the nice fella at fedex let me take it out of the box and use their digital scale. HRE Performance Wheels C20 18x8 = 19.85 lbs
