OK guys.... Last year, my crew took out an RV that we used as base camp. This year, we don't want to use the RV (9 mpg using diesel + 2400 miles round trip ). We are thinking about all pitching in and buying a nice wall tent that would comfortably sleep 6 guys on cots and have a little room left over for misc. gear. having been ballotted out of tomorrows ODE I managed to get someones withdrawal into Eland Lodge so with some last minute memorising of a new dressage test we set off at 9am. My son and I spent our family vacation at Marmon Valley Farms ( http://www.marmonvalley.com ). It's mainly a Christian summer camp and retreat center, however they do allow tents and trailers and have three electric hook ups.
