Hi Sometimes you get 'Vulnerable Apps.' when you do a vulnerability scan, so you do the recommended fix. When you redo the scan the vulnerability is still listed (even though there is no longer a vuln.) . I know the ultimate solution to these problems involve the app. vendor & KL so may take a while to sort out, but for people who aren't that technically savvy it can be a worry. ...

I ran the scan and Kaspersky told me I have 2 issues with Java. They are: Java Platform SE Binary one is in the Program files and one is in Windows files. They both appear to be the same issue. When I go to the Java page I am not sure which ones to download. Can anybody help? Thank you.

My apologies if this is the wrong forum. I have noticed this issue for sometime, including following a recent win 7 clean install (which is prompting this thread). Running 9.0.0.736 (win 7), vulnerability scan picks up the following: Office 2000 Component Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office\MSO9.dll Recommended to be fixed http://www.viruslist.com/en/advisories/29321 This is a ...

Two samples of the System vulnerabilities messages I got from the Vulnerability Scan: "CD/DVD autorun is allowed, Not necessary to be fixed ." "Removeable media autorun is allowed, Recommended to be fixed ." Question: Why would it be okay for the CD/DVD drive to have autorun allowed without being fixed, but not okay for the removeable media drive? By being "fixed, " am I correct in ...

Hi, I'm running KIS2010 and recently ran a Vulnerability scan for my laptop. Among a few other things, KIS2010 identified the following "System Vulnerabilities" related to the AutoPlay feature in Vista Home Premium: 'Autorun from network drives is allowed' 'Autorun from hard drives is allowed' 'Removeable Media autorun is allowed' 'CD/DVD autorun is allowed' I acted on disabling these, ...

When I ran the Vulnerability Scan in KIS 2009 (8.0.0.506) the scan reported the following issue: 10/6/2009 9:41:14 AM Detected: http://www.viruslist.com/en/advisories/36159 C:\Program Files\Logitech\Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7\jre\bin\java.exe I was going to get with Logitech and report this issue to them, however, now that I have installed KIS 2010 (9.0.0.736) and ran the...

Hi I'm writing to report a problem being able to run a Vulnerability Scan on demand without a crazy scheduling workaround. I have Kaspersky Anti Virus 2010 v9.0.0.463 running on Windows Vista 32 bit. I had a similar type of issue - my vulnerability scan effectively stopped at 80% and I was forced to shut down. When I restarted, Spyware Doctor (with antivirus) had been moved to "safe mode". I guess maybe the scan stopped because it hit the antivirus conflict between the 2 programs ? If so then it's obviously my fault. Spyware Doctor doesn't even run when I click it now. No problems ...

Hi, The vulnerability scan in KIS2010 has picked up authplay.dll in Photoshop Elements 7. Does anyone know if you can just copy the up to date one from Reader on top of the older one that came in Elements - or is that being naive? (I know that's an Adobe question really but I just wasted an hour on their website and found hee haw so just in case anyone on here knows and since it *was* ...

You can use Nessus vulnerability scanner to scan the server and find out the vulnerabilities and their fix. Another good tool is the GFI Languard.
