Hello, I am having some difficulties using the new single "instrument tracks" with the Mackie Control. I'm using Sonar PE 8.0.1 and Windows XP SP3. I was wondering if anyone had found out how to configure it to work properly with: 1. Record arming; I cannot arm for record any of my single instrument tracks using the "REC/RDY" button on the MCU. Is this a limitation or do I need a ...

synth ... forum .......... whaaaa? oh yea! the main thing that frustrates me about VSTi is how focused the synth is, emulation, "trance" ect.. and the seond thing is they don't seem to have the breadth in sound that hardware has without allot of processing and tweaking. Right off the bat it sounded very cold and gritty to me, which is something i like which ...

To Rich Curtis and Cakewalk Sonar staff: Great Sonar tour last night in Rockville, Maryland. The room and sound at the Guitar Center was good. The GC staff was pleasant and helpful. And Rich really rocked with his presentation, very personable and listening to the users that were present. He spent over a 1/2 hour circulating through the group (approx. 30-40) _before the tour_ letting folk ...

While I still enjoy P5 ( even more than SonarHS6 ), I've found that Fruity Loops offers a very similar pattern workflow approach, interesting VST's, automation envelopes, multi-core support, etc. Forum support is active. It doesn't have the active pattern matrix of P5 though. I'm still playing with both of them as they have unique strengths. The piano roll is better in FL ( native support of ...

My Prophet 08 sounds analogue (duh!) and no VAs sound quite like it. But, "sounding analogue" is not how I measure a VA synth and I personally think that that quality is completely overrated. A synth can sound incredible, good, or not so good, regardless of whether it's 100% analogue, 100% digital, or a hybrid. Flexibility, programmability, stability, or the ability to cover a certain ...

"Does not exist!" Perhaps you should clean your ears then.... Instead of complaining about me, that I'm happy and glad with SONAR 8 producer, make the test yourself! Test & compare with any audio-file 44.1 or 48 or many with Cubase 4 and even with Pro Tools HD too and then listen to compare in SONAR 8. Try with VSTI too and you will hear a distinct difference in sound quality ;)...

Are there any limitations on how many VSTi tracks I can have in a project? Softsynths? I can live with 64 tracks... I would hate to be limited on the number of VSTi's though. < Message edited by Willy Jones [Cakewalk] -- 11/13/2008 1:07:33 AM >
