Thomas, I did exactly as you said, but now what I get is when I choose the VSTi version it doesn't give me a choice to choose any guitar sounds when I choose the MIDI option dropdown in the lower left corner. I also chose Ch. 6 under that. I put in a chord and strum map respectively, then patched RG21 to my ext controller in a 3rd trk like you said, but it kept playing my drum synth that was...

Sewn wrote: I almost forgot this. Try the vst Renegade by G sonique. There is a link on here. This is probaly the best preset based vst synth for industria/ebm basslines. If your not a master programmer this is a good place to start. So is the drum machine microtonic. Lots of hard drum sounds found in microtonic. Both of these synths are affordable for most consumers. ...

quote: ORIGINAL: Mod Bod Alright then, let's eliminate the obvious steps. 1) You have another version of SONAR that the Studio Instruments shows up in. Or maybe even a different sequencer. NO OTHER VERSION OF SONAR OR OTHER SIGNATURE 2)OPTIONS>GLOBAL>VSTPLUGINS>Rescan Existing Plugins (Make sure the folder where Studio Instruments installed shows up in the VST Scan ...

Note you don't HAVE to connect a Trigger IO or MegaDrum to a computer specifically. You can use it to drive any MIDI compatible synth such as a drum machine, keyboard synth, etc. Obviously the quality of the sound generated and features supported are dependent on both the module and the synth. I certaily think a TD3 is probably your least expensive all-in-one solution that would provide good ...

By the way...I also wrote an article for the April 2008 issue of EQ. I don't think it's online so here's the text. Running Hed: Key Issues Title: What the Heck is an SFZ? By Craig Anderton The following may seem techy, and frankly, that techy aspect inhibited me from checking out the SFZ file format. But once I finally wrapped my head around the concept, I was glad I did. ...

there will be lots of people with the 'this is my favourite flavour' speak. so i'll start. lol firstly i don't limit myself to DnB. limiting is only good at the mastering stage. reaper is a good place to start as it has a free 30 day trial. damned good sequencer it is too. on the drum side, i slice and dice audio instead of using a vsti. mainly cause you have ...

Man I just spent ages writing some tips for you then automatic update restarted my PC without telling me. Bastard... Basically, I love this tune. One of the best DnB tunes I have listened to recently. The intro is perfect, and would fit into a mix set easily. The nasty bass breakdown is awesome. Great choice of synths and great melodies. The only issue (already picked up by U4eA) is ...

So this is it, this electro sound I guess it's like in at least 1 song of every indie rock album I've heard lately, so here is the mp3 for you to check it out! It must be some electro drums with EQ or something like that, even a synth! I just don't know!! If you could point a vsti or similar to get this sound, it has been on my mind all week! Here is the MP3: http://rapidshare.com/files/...

A virtual sound module/workstation style synth, multi-timbral w/ layers (say 4 channels, each channel capable of 3 individual "tones") & some simple built-in effects, except with the following twists: -Every sound is generated ENTIRELY with physical modeling, NO SAMPLES. -An interface designed for direct control w/ as few menus involved as plausible. The function of the controls would ...

Hello, I am having some difficulties using the new single "instrument tracks" with the Mackie Control. I'm using Sonar PE 8.0.1 and Windows XP SP3. I was wondering if anyone had found out how to configure it to work properly with: 1. Record arming; I cannot arm for record any of my single instrument tracks using the "REC/RDY" button on the MCU. Is this a limitation or do I need a ...
