Thanks for your response Clare. First my prayers of course go to your brother. Yes our government funds and permits stem cell research and while there may be certain limitations these can vary quite a bit from state to state(1), but in my opinion the biggest advances will be made in the private sector and from funding from the private sector which is significant.
