How can we change the keyboard layout between UltraVNC and a VMware Machine...it shows a US Keyboard layout so we modify the *.vmx file (VMware configuration file) with following line: RemoteDisplay.vnc.keyMap = "de" So we have an German layout but without "Alt Gr" function. You know we need the Alt Gr function for e.g. "@" and "\" Many thanks for your help!

Quote: suspect that shorewall complains because you don't have any interfaces configured at all. Your network connection script needs to run before shorewall so that shorewall can set up the rules correctly. Since shorewall is S53 and your network setup scripts (which you disabled) are S51,S52, I suggest you set those older scripts to 50,51 and your dialup ...

As an owner of two N800s, but no N810s, I can't answer. Anyone? (perhaps you should try running "xmodmap /home/user/.Xmodmap-keymap" first?) The Maemo VNC Viewer works great ; unless you want something specific from the xtightvncviewer that the Maemo one doesn't provide (I can't imagine what that would be), I would recommend just using the Maemo one.

I have got a solution (hack!!). Add the following lines to /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/us inside the block xkb_symbols "basic" : // Hack for VNC key { [ ssharp ] }; key { [ udiaeresis, Udiaeresis ] }; key { [ odiaeresis, Odiaeresis ] }; key { [ adiaeresis, Adiaeresis ] }; It's ugly, but trying to patch the "...

Hello, I have some problems with hvm and need help. Our system is a Sun Blade X6250 Server with two Intel(R) Xeon(R) X5365 CPU's. Xen is used for virtualization (Dom0 on OpenSolaris snv_94, DomU's PV on Suse 10.1). Everything works fine. Then i tried to install Suse 10.3 as a hvm DomU: bash-3.2# virt-install --name xrodos4 --ram 1024 \ --cdrom /xen/install/suse10.3/images...

The VNC itself works fine \(now even with password\)but the key mappings are somehow wrong when I'm typing on Vista's VNC console.
