I had the earlier shape GSX750f. Not much changed besides the fairings in 97, and a slightly lower power output on the newer models. Less low end torque on the 600 obviously but not a huge difference between the 600 and 750 by all accounts. It was a very comfy bike. Quite heavy, but on the move it was fine. I was in my local bike shop and enquired about some crash protectors for my vfr 750. The chap behind the counter told me that in his opinion they were not much good, as all the bikes he had seen that had been droped and had bobbins fitted still had the fairings trashed. What are other peoples views, have you come off your bike and had bobbins fitted? What was the resulting damage?

I am selling my Honda VFR 750. It is a 750cc v-four that sounds like nothing else. Nothing is wrong with this bike. I just took it to OC bike week and it had no issues whatsoever. Oil is changed regularly. I took the fairings off about a month ago. The bike is about 50 lbs lighter without the plastic, windshield, guages. I have an electronic dash with indicator lights, speedo and tach. I chopped...
