This is not a socialized medicine issue. Plenty of developed countries with socialized medicine, and perhaps all of them except the UK, reimburse for the use of Sutent in advanced kidney cancer. NICE pursues especially stringent requirements for drug reimbursement, with its notable delay with the highly effective Herceptin and its "pay-for-performance" agreement over Velcade as examples. ...
