When i recently upgraded my plan to a nationwide select plan, I was informed that the only real difference besides the unlimited texts and such, was that the megabyte usage was billed differently. You don't need a data plan to get the voyager but when you sign a new contract with verizon here in the states, you get a 30 day free trial of Vcast unlimited data. If you don't cancel after or within the 30 day trial, you end up paying for it but it is only $15 a month for unlimited data. Good Luck!
