Beautiful vintage vanity dresser with mounted mirror for sale but only until Wednesday night!! It is solid wood with tongue-in-groove construction, no nails or screws! (well, except to mount the mirror and I'll include those) My inexperienced guess would be that its a cherry finish and I can't even guess what the wood might be except real. At first I thought Art Deco, but then there's that button hook. . .I can't determine what this is made out of. It's orange and it's plastic, but what kind? The pieces have some weight, but are not overly heavy. They are marked Laverne Amer-lite. I have Googled and cannot find out anything about Amer-lite. Does anyone have any ideas as to age? Thanks, all! I'm glad I wasn't too off in thinking Art Deco. The plastic is translucent. When held to the light I can see the shadow of my finger. I don't think it's Bakelite although I haven't yet tested for that. I can usually do the smell test with that. Never thought about knots with the button hook. I have a couple pairs of shoes that are hopelessly knotted. Maybe I'll give it a try ... |

I helping a girlfriend furnish her 11 yr old daughters room. She has crates to keep her clothes, but would like a dresser. And sh is at the age to take really good care of herself and into make up and others tuff, so a vanity would be great too. Read more... |

You can narrow the bottom drawers by cutting the box in half and leaving the front the same size. This would give you a vertical space in the middle and four drawers to use, although the bottom ones are not as wide as before. |

Long story short: We are selling a large-scale Oak queen size bedroom set. Headboard is 10' across, takes up a whole wall w/ lights and mirrors, and all that jazz. Also, a large, 9 drawer dresser w/ mirror and a large chest of drawers w/mirrored top vanity drawer. Metal frame included, no mattress, no boxspring. So we started it at $1500, then while taking it apart to store it we found ... |
