MIchelle, how did it get there? The kids loved the firestation and the fire dog (just someone dressed up) named Sparky. DS wanted to go with him and he isn't usually like that. Today is the Halloween walk and we are ready to go. My parents picked up DH's birthday and Christmas present last night-an upright Craftsman tool box. I'm also letting him have one of the drawers that go to it early....it...

My van was a carpenter's van until his business outgrew the thing (he bought a Sprinter). It has a big cabinet in the back with four drawers that slide out the back that he kept power tools and such in. Along the top corners were hooks for tool belts, etc, and conduit straps along the sides of the floor to tie big stuff down. The floor is this thick, ridged rubber stuff. Damnit I need ...

Finally, it sucks to be you guys! Never thought I'd get to say that up here in Canada. You have no idea what you are missing by not having a Canadian Tire in your neighborhood. These guys are absolutely huge up here. Every town on the map has one. Before Walmart and the like moved up here they got pro-active and created mega-stores. And man, are they! Their tools all have lifetime no-hassle ...

I thought I would post up some pic's of my "system". I have been drawing it out and designing it for over a year now. I came to the point after getting my Engel Fridge/Freezer to go ahead and build it. I wanted the fridge close to the driver so I didn't have to exit the vehicle and go to the rear in bad weather. I also wanted a place to house my on board air system. I had planned on ...

I've been posting these stories in other forums, worried that maybe they violate the terms of service, but after many requests, I'm gonna post them here and see if anybody likes them. I'm a CI believer, but I love the style of Dr. Pierce / Andrew MacDonald...I hope you enjoy them, and if you do, please encourage me. I freely admit that they're not something you'd want to hand out ...

Woppa sent me these, thought you'd all enjoy them! These are genuine clips from council complaint letters My bush is really overgrown round the front and my back passage has fungus growing in it. He's got this huge tool that vibrates the whole house and I just~ can't take it anymore. It's the dogs mess that I find hard to swallow. I want some repairs done to my cooker as it has ...

I'm starting to get a bunch of hand tools, and I have been thinking about how to categorize and store them. My "modern" tools live in the MATCO rolling cab in the garage, and my older stuff is starting to overflow into handboxes in the basement and the desk drawers in my office. I have had several thoughts: 1. by tool, so all the ratchets live in the same boxes 2. by brand, so all ...

Even when I was working as a professional mechanic, one of the bigger drawers in my tool cabinet was for storing the inevitable "bonus bolts" I'd find after putting something back together. Didn't have a single bonus bolt on the Mustang long-block replacement, though.

Question Hi, I am attempting to restore an old dresser. I have no idea when it is from, I just like it, and I like the antiqued color. I am not sure whether to use denatured alcohol to clean it or mineral spirits. I heard somewhere that you can figure out what kind of sealant it has on it by using these, however I cannot remember what they said. I am pretty sure denatured alcohol is for ...
