A quick question to get some facts straight... (skimmed through trivia, read some user-comments, couldn't find the answer) Was Scars of Dracula (1970) the first Hammer sequel to feature Christopher Lee with blood-red sullen eyes? (cool contact lenses, I presume) (still need to catch up with some of the sequels myself, I'm afraid) Anyone care to confirm this? Thanks! Drink the ...

Since I just finished watching it for the first time, I thought I'd share my brief first impressions... Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht might start off a bit weak, but steadily grows stronger and stronger. Once you get a hold of its pace (which should happen somewhere in the second act, when Jonathan Harker resides in Count Dracula's castle), you'll find yourself in the film, and it will ...

I promise by the time the clock strikes midnight on upcoming Sunday the 15th, all vampires on this horrorboard will be laid to rest. Or at least, the ones let loose by me. But since everybody seems to be having a good time with the previous threads, here's a short question just for fun: Out of all the actors who played the Renfield character, who gave your favorite performance? (If you ...

Again, here I am folks. Sorry to bother you once more. Though I figure, this might be intersting for all of you who like this film. Since I haven't seen every possible vampire movie out there (not by a long shot, as you can tell by now), I'm just speculating here... Can Romero's "Martin" (1977) be considered as the first film that truly punctured the romanticised myth surrounding all ...

I just finished watching Let The Right One In and this film is defiantly in my top 10. I will have to watch it a few more times to see how high it would be on my list.

"This is one of the most interesting threads this board has seen in a while." Thank you for these kind words. I honestly wasn't expecting to hear anything like this. And you just gave me one of the most interesting answers. In fact, I kind of accepted already that Martin wasn't the first. But your solid reply, has turned this into a tie with Leroy Gomm's answer. He said "no" because of ...

Cov, he's completely silent in Franco's film. It's all in his eyes. Probably the most interesting portrayal of the character to date. I must admit, despite not being a fan of Franco, I'm surprised you haven't seen Count Dracula as of yet. --Brian Long live, Crown International
