I got to the range for the first time with the new 226 USPSA, alloy frame. Basically it is an Elite with short trigger, nickel controls, and a really nice black-notch rear sight with fiber optic front sight. I intend to use it as my IDPA SSP gun. A very pleasant surprise is that it comes with five, yes 5 15-round mags! Well actually it comes with 3 in the box and for the price of shipping...

I thought i would post the IDPA and USPSA schedule for everyone. I just started going to these in January and it is the most fun shooting i have ever had. Everyone is very helpful and willing to help beginners. You also don't need a bunch of fancy equipent to be competitive, especially for IDPA . If you are interested in improving your shooting skills and having a lot of fun doing it, you ...

I need some opinions for holster replacement for IDPA/USPSA. Pistol is a Beretta 92FS in SSP. G-Code, Blade-Tech or Comp Tac? I have visited with the folks at my local clubs but would like some opinions from folks in different areas.

What are your thoughts on being competitive at the local level with a 9mm in the SS division. Here are my thoughts: Con: Stuck in minor (No matter I will just shoot all A's ) Pros: +2 in the magazine Pros: Ammo is way cheaper (I can afford to practice more) Are any of you currently shooting a 9mm SS for USPSA?

He also smoothed out the action with an emphasis on DA shooting. He bead-blasted the stainless finish, then put a chromed turn line on the cylinder to give smooth rotation after the bead ...

Hey guys… With the help of quite a few shooter type folk we put together a dry fire practice program for USPSA. This would also work just fine for IDPA shooters. It is designed to be simple, and to not require a bunch of stuff. Check it out HERE
