So I guess I'm starting Rippetoe's program this week, and I did the deads, flat bench, and squats today. And wow, what a difference from the machines I'd been on for a good 6-7 months. And compared to the chest press machine, my bench reps are literally half of what I could do. It's incredible how weak all my stabalizers are. I can tell this is going to be much better for me. So guys any tips ...

N2 and K, Could you please stop sidestepping, you have NOT answered ONE of my questions directly, now you start the mocking again ??? What are you afraid of ??? Is it because if you try to answer, you will have to admit you are wrong ??? free weights and machines, iv been told that free weights are better to use but are machines all bad, should i stay completely away or is it good to have a mixture? im aiming to build clean muscle, iv got my diet sorted and have been training a while using free weights would it be helpfull to introduce some machines aswell to help with form?
