But that may be because I've read more about what's going on at Ford. Ford has a FULL hybrid SUV, the Escape and its twin the Mercury Mariner, and will bring out a FULL hybrid mid-size auto, the Fusion, in January, provided that they have the $$$ to start producing it in December--they've already re-tooled for it. If I were in your shoes with $1200.00. I would go with a pretty high end head unit, Sirius adapter, and build you own box under the back seat with a couple of 10" subs or even just a single 12". The stock speaker will sound 100x better than they do with the stock head unit. I have a decent size amp running my stock infinity speakers. I would look at ebay and make sure you buy New in Box... |

What I've done in the past (yet to get to this point on the 60) is to run a heavy gauge wire (10 ga. or bigger) off the battery and to a high current fuse or breaker mounted near the battery. I use a rating of 60-100 amps depending on what is appropriate for the wire. Then I run more of the same wire back to the rear of the truck.
