zeph, I don't know. I've been poking around on Ubuntu Forums Multimedia and Video subforums. Nobody's mentioned Brasero for DVD ripping. I've heard Handbrake, k9copy, AcidRip, k3b, DeVeDe, dvd::rip, thoggen, and a few others. I went back to "V for vendetta" and ripped the second largest file. It was the "making of" featurette. I thought you were avoiding me in protest at me going Linux Mint I've installed a few bits and bobs, so far I'm happy with it, and now I can say from experience it is Ubuntu for lazy ppl i.e. helpful ppl have already made sure flash, java, codecs etc various other things that can be awkward are there and working.
