I currently run 205/50 and 225/50 on my 7 and 8 x 15 fuchs... my problem however is our fairly crappy roads over here in Australia. The lower sidewall heights contribute to the overall ride height being a little too low and I scrape fairly regularly If you wind the height up to compensate, the lower profile tyres contribute to a big gap between the arches and tyre which looks goofy. ...

SROL is pleased to announce what series we'll be running over the next couple of months! Starting this weekend we'll be running the McLaren F1 Challenge mod by David Purdy. It's an extremely fun car to drive and should provide some good racing. Schedule: 1. November 22nd; Albert Park, Australia 2. November 29th; Hockenheim, Germany 3. December 6th; Euro Speedway (Lausitz Ring), ...

...this topic might be little bit controversial.....so lets discuss it factual although I'm sure there are different opinions out there.... since I'm relocated to Australia / NSW I have some problems to understand the "true meaning" of the pink slip.... From the information I gathered so far the pink slip is a legal certificate / document that states whether your car is roadworthy or not....

Any car that was offered new in australia can only be imported as a privet import. to have a privet import u must own, drive, and reg the car over seas for 12month (they check your passport and the car must be reged in your name) the 15 year rule was stopped but most older cars are allowed in as it apperently has no affect on the sale of new cars. To get the car complied it must meet ...

Not sure what electric disconnects JD has, but the vehicle you can get them off is an Isuzu Bighorn (Yep thats what they are called) or Montery (AKA Jackaroo in Australia). In Japan and the US they came with electric disconnects, and in NZ they imported this vehicle including a lot of halfcuts. With a bit of effort you could source these from NZ, just like I did a few years ago from these...

G'day Fluff, Original or not, you could not pay me enough to run splitties (split rims). I have had them on my troopy that is now at my house in the US and on my 2002 Hilux here in The Nanny State of Australia, and they are absolute rubbish. I hate them intensely, and they are the first things I chuck in the bin when I get a truck with them. They are nearly impossible to balance, and if ...

Just as a post script to this whole saga, I now cannot find a replacement tyre for the compact wheel. However as the old one was worn out in around 20 miles I am investing in a few more cans of goop and relying on breakdown services. As a further aside I turned up this report from Australia. It is obviously just as relevant here, and is what convinced me I no longer want to rely on the ...

Quote: Weve recently spent a bit of time behind the wheel of Mitsubishis latest Evo and the tightly-wound little jigger is one of the office favourites at The Motor Report. So when news reached us that a competition version was debuting this week, we had to find out more about it. If you like your Mitsubishis a little on the tuned side, then Team ...

I'm getting my R50 in a few months and according to everyone I'm a nutcase for wanting to take it off road. I live in Australia and you'd be a nutcase if you didn't go off road in my opinion. I'm not looking to get involved in challenging stuff but every now and again I'd like to take a bush track or go on the beach which is going to be near impossible with the standard wheels and low profile ...
