I wish there was a food that would not get dried out, but you really don't want to leave food in very long anyway. It will start to go bad and develop bacteria. You should use a mix of leafy greens, I buy the spring mix salad, and also shredded carrots, yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli and I will feed some non-citrus fruits as treats.
