To expound on t-bonham's post.... We'll consider a single family home having a room room-and-contents fire which has extended to the attic and adjacent rooms/hallway (the "average" structural fire that Anytown, USA is set up to handle by themselves). - Municipal water around here is about $3/1000 gallons (we're building the first desal plant in the northeast - good for us). On the fire ...

We have crappy schools because we have communities filled with crappy people who raise crappy kids. How many times have you attended a school board meeting and the turnout has been dismal? Many times there are more empty seats than filled ones. How many PTA meetings have you gone to where it's the same faces, same people, struggling to meet the same needs ever week, month and year? How often...

I took my 205 to Eastern Creek Drags last night. Never been before. Great turnout! 6 runs, my first was the quickest 15.403sec @ 88.07mph . Kept turbo Falcons behind me till toward the end of second gear, then the 205 shook as they went on past to pull low 12s . ...

Nearly a week since Election Day, the fate of six House and Senate races remained unclear Monday as heated recounts and a runoff were underway in contested races across the country. In Georgia, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R) was gearing up for an intense runoff against Democrat Jim Martin after the Republican failed to cross the 50-percent mark. Voters were scheduled to revisit the polls on Dec. 2...

This past weekend was the first event at Vail Lake, the Hillbilly Bike Bash. They've got a ton of campsites, a huge private lake, waterslides, and RC car track and a ton of trails. Whats not to like? Track: The DH ...
