I'm having a problem installing my new TruGlo TFO front sight onto my Glock 19. Maybe one of you guys has some suggestions. The problem is this: the tiny, thin hex screw that holds the sight in place will not screw in far enough to properly secure the sight. Shot my G19 a couple of days ago with the new sights. The front sight appears to be staying put. I don't want to put too much force on it but the LocTite seems to be keeping the end with the dot on it from moving side to side (which would happen as a result of the sight rotating around the axis of the retaining screw). I'm putting this here as I'm specifically interested in folks experience with Truglo TFOs in IPSC/IDPA-style competition. I see a lot of plain fiberoptic front sights, but I want night sights on my not-yet-acquired G17. Any comments you'd like to share? Thanks!

Clear epoxy or fingernail polish seems to be the norm for sealing the optic tube onto the sight base. I have clear fingernail polish on my TFO's on the XD9sc and no problems. I was just supposing that if i get the sight for my AR it might be a good idea to seal the tubes.
