Thats why these snake oil salesman recruiters still have their jobs because we love being truckers and keep ...

I hope there are none of you hoping to come and work for SynLogistics - its apparently an amalgamation of Prudhomme and Schneider Trucking. Prudhomme never did have a very good name on this board. Apparently nobody has been paid for three weeks, and some of the owner/operator truckers haven't been paid for two months. It says that the truckers were trying to find work for immigrant ...

Very well put Todd. As many here know, I am in defense of unions 100% if they are good unions, and I fully believe in the ones at Boeing. Here is an example of a non union shop I worked at for two years before getting my recall notice in late October of '05 to come back to Boeing. Take note, if Boeing was not a union shop, I would not have got a recall. This elcheapo outfit I ...

Oct. 2 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks dropped for a second day as a jump in borrowing costs and reports showing a worsening economy spurred concern that the government's $700 billion bank bailout plan won't be enough to stimulate growth. Caterpillar Inc., Alcoa Inc. and Deere & Co. tumbled more than 8 percent as three-month bank lending rates climbed to the highest since January, while the ...

I would just like to chime in here to let all you new folks know that dispatchers "forcing" drivers to run illegally, while it does happen at times, is NOT the industry norm AT ALL!! I've had more than my fair share of (as AfterShock would say) big truck truck drivin' jobs in my short 5 year tenure, and even the small company with about 30-50 trucks never "forced" me to run illegal. I've ...

The House has made it veto-proof clear: The controversial pilot program allowing big Mexican trucks to cross the U.S. border and travel into the country must end. The Senate has yet to act, though. And Mexico and its U.S. big-business allies are ramping up their efforts to block the repeal, including a renewed warning by Mexican officials to retaliate against U.S. exports if the program is ...
