I am looking at getting a Truck tent, can anyone recommend a good one. 03 Quad Cab. I've looked at some sites and most of them don't list as having one for my truck. Any info would be great. TIA, Chad

> This post was a result of the Guntech's "anyone else miss their dad" and Cubs "I'm a little PO'd" posts. Since I was about 5 years old, my dad took me hunting. The first couple of times, I only got to go on the weekend, and never really "hunted" but got out in the woods. To my dad, hunting meant you took everything you needed, tent, food, clothing etc., went out ...

Before someone who reads my post wants to spout off about my driving a large SUV - they need to try this first.   Last weekend I took my family on a Cub Scout camping trip. This is fairly regular occurrence for us. We had 5 people in the seats, and the entire balance of the vehicle filled with camping gear - probably more than 25 cubic feet of tents, tarps, cooler, sleeping bags, etc.  ...

I think there's some truth to this. I was camping recently and a buddy was sleeping in the back of his truck with a fiberglass shell and I was in a small two man dome tent on the ground. it got down to about 40 degrees during the night and the next morning the back of his truck seemed to be much colder than inside my tent. Maybe that steel truck bed is acting like a heat sink and pulling all the ...

Here\'s my side of the story. Gitano flew in to Denver from Alaska the Wednesday before Halloween for a deer and elk hunt. I picked him up at the airport and we headed straight to the range to check his rifles. After the sudden demise of my 4Runner I was driving my new to me Toyota T-100 truck. We spent the rest of the day getting my oil changed and buying supplies for the hunt. That night ...

I enjoy camping but, sleeping on top of rocks and uneven ground at National Parks is getting old. I have a good lightweight hiking tent, and a good late 3 season tent but, now I'm starting to camp in subfreezing temperatures in the National Forests with lots of heavy frozen dew. I need to either buy a dedicated 4 season tent or, something for my new pickup (a 2007 used Tundra double cab 6.5' ...

My husband and I have been thinking about a travel trailer since our camping trip last summer - 4th of July weekend. Thunder showers decided to suddenly pop up in the forecast after I packed up the tents, etc. I started to cry and waited another day...
