So I've continuing work trying to get some things buttoned up. The goal I'm working towards is getting the body on. But in order to do that, I want to try to get things buttoned up underneath, since I have easy access to stuff right now. I went to go pressure test and flush the fuel system. I found a wiring diagram from a T/A that I got the tank from. I used a battery ...

Here is my engine swap into my 2004 Silverado Day One: Sept 6th,08 Prepped the truck, removed a few body panels that would be in the way. Drained the coolant, disconnected the battery. Unbolted the Y-pipe from the headers. Disconnected all of the engine sensor harnesses. Unbolted all of the bell housing bolts. (So I had thought) Removed the radiator hoses. Took off the ...

Hi everyone, I'm new here! This board is awesome, I've read quite a few things on here. Now onto the subject at hand, flooring! I've recently moved into a older house (built in 1977) with an unfinished 3 car garage. That's great, a clean slate The floor isn't in too good of a shape, there's various things that seemed to be spilled on top of some shoddy looking concrete. I think at ...

Hey guys, it's been a while! The body on my '88 is falling apart with the wet trunk and rust, plus the peeling paint. There's a lot of clean and cheap Camrys on craigslist so I was thinking of pulling my motor out and putting it in a good chassis. My current tranny is going out too so I'll have to fix that...What is all there is to it really? I figured: disconnect hoses (radiator, A/C, etc.), ...

So, I don't have a cherry picker but I need to replace my driver side motor mount. I was thinking of getting a 4"x4" piece of timber and my floor jack and jacking up the motor to unbolt the driver side mount, while leaving the pass side mount in place. Anyone see a problem with this method? Will I ruine the oil pan or gasket? Any other tips? I've done plenty of fab & mechanical work, ...

Someone wanted an update... Well...While you all have been working on cars and such...I've had no such fun! About 6 weeks ago I tore my calf muscle, then when I finally felt I could go finish the shop without further injury I started to push my scaffolding around to finish the overhead lighting.
