runing on a tredmill is so boring it has to be good for yer mental conditioning. I like it because with only because its easy to do a HITT style run on it with a clock and ajustable speeds at the end of yer fingertips. running outside is truly enjoyable for me and i can run alot longer because im not bored off my ass. try to find a dirt road to run on. if feels weird at first because of the ...

I opted for a treadmill, though I will be adding an eliptical at some point in the future for variety. I actually get bored on an eliptical and can at least adjust different walking, jogging and running speeds on the treadmill.

For those that looked at this and immediately jumped on the "It's ridiculous" bandwagon without a second thought, let me point out a few advantages. First - It could be made to have coasting ability, so forward motion could be obtained with less effort. Gearing could also be incorporated to achieve faster than normal running speeds. Second - The treadmill is made of a uniform surface. It is ...

I ran with club people tonight. there was a new guy to our runs because his track work out was canceled for some reason. he is training for Houston Marathon and just did Marine Corp. I ran harder then I usually would have and I am sure it was easy for him. I did 4.73 miles at 9:50 pace. The other guy I ran with can adapt to most speeds and often runs super slow. He did a 5K Sunday and thought he ...

Generally you want one with ample horsepower for running (many people buy them for walking, so make sure you tell them what speeds you will be running). I wouldn't pay anything under $2000. My father has one of the Pacemasters. Precor and Lifefitness make ones for gyms, and Precor makes ones for home use. You don't need a gym-...
