We'll be taking a 6 hour (approx) flight in February. This is the first time we will be flying with our kids since our second arrived. DS will be 4 and DD will be 7 months old. For you more experienced travellers, here are my questions: Would you take both car seats? We will need to drive to visit grandparents - debating on using the car seats provided by the car rental company vs. bringing ...

Ok so in mid-January i am flying across to San Francisco and spending a few months travelling cross country. Its going to be part vacation and part job hunting. I am especially interested in the possibility of living and working in Colorado. I have a planned route, but just wanted to know if anyone can offer any advice for the travel. Thanks for any sensible comments and suggestions.

I had a great experience flying with my twins when they were 6 months old, but now that they're two-and-a-half, I'm nervous! I'll be traveling with them from Texas to Oregon, just me and my two daughters. Any advice you have would be appreciated. I'm already looking into getting GoGo Kidz Travelmates ( http://www.amazon.com/Go-Kidz-TravelMat ... B000JJK9EY ) in lieu of a double stroller, and ...

I have been invited to travel out to Germany to stay with a friend for a few weeks. He lives near Hannover. If I head there I would love to travel to a few places in Germany. I am not to interested in seeing castles but am interested in seeing sights from the WW's, Automotive factories, Beer breweries (Heiniken). Amersterdam for a weekend would be factored in as well. Does anyone have ...

Hi - I've never been. A search turned up things rather 'dated' I was hoping folks could suggest things to do / places to see that are worth while. The national parks seemed interesting. Suggestions? (will be going around Spring next year)

Advertisements [ ? ] OK, there are worse problems to have, but here's the story. We're talking about doing a five- or six-day rafting trip next summer, and since we already did a desert trip a few years back, we thought we'd head for the Northwest. So, it's come down to the following rivers: the Owyhee, the Salmon (Middle, Main or Lower), the Snake and the ...

I just recently took a trip with my 18 month old. The larger planes we flew on for the longer legs of the flight had screens in the seatback where you could play movies or tv shows or video games. There was a small fee but it might be easier than lugging the laptop and having one more thing to keep track of. I think you could bring your own headphones which would same some $$$. I waited and...

I went to Munich last year (Oktoberfest). We flew (49 euro/pp) to Brussels (one day ) (waste of time), but the best part of it is that it can be cheap to stay there on weekends, and there's discounted trainfare to Bruges (12 euro) (one day) which is a UNESCO heritage site. It's VERY cool. (Rent "In Bruges" with Colin Farrell). We then took the train (36-44 euro one way, but almost the same ...

Research your destination before you go. Find out about cheap / free museums and Art Galleries (many are free for 1 day each month). Buy a guidebook before you go but buy maps at the destination. I prefer one with photos so that I am able to identify photogenic attractions. Failing that look at the local area postcards for sites that take your eye. Sign up to the newsletters from budget ...
