Hello, can you help me with my problem. when i start the engine of my prado i notice a knock sound in the engine. 10 seconds after the engine started the noise disappear. do you have any idea as to what is the problem with the engine. 1998 Toyota Prado (commercial). ODO meter reading is 97,000, Engine 1KZ-T 3.0 Diesel. Thank you and more power..

The engine you need is readily available on ebay for around £900. The 1kz was fitted to 3l surfs and prado's from around 1993 up to around 2001. I had a 3l 1994 toyota surf and now own a 1998 3L prado exactly the same engine in both. If you go onto ebay type in Landcruiser and look under parts there are several people on there that sell engines that offer warranties etc.. If...
