Hey Guys, My 2-3 year old dvd player died on me. Trying to find a replacement, but i can't find a replacement that has upconverting with toslink connection. I'm buying based on assumptions. I'm looking for an inexpensive HDMI/Toslink auto-sensing switch. I've found an HDMI-only auto-switch for $25 on Amazon and the reviews say it works great except it doesn't support Toslink. Hello My setup: Laptop --> HDMI --> Sony tv (40v5500) --> Toslink --> Reciever. Is it possible to play a ac3 track from a video file through this setup. I can't make it work. I've tried to enable SP/DIF in the preferences but still no dolby. Is it possible and which settings do I need? I run windows 7

AW: HDMI auf HDMI + Toslink Adapter...Gibt es sowas ? optischen ausgang haben recht viele notebooks übrigens, allerdings ist der meist versteckt im 3.5 klinkenstecker der kopfhörer bzw. der grüne anschluss dort kann man dann ein 3.5mm optisches kabel reinstecken und es kommt rotes licht raus ;P
