Guys I really need some help ! I have just updated my device software using TomTom Home V2.4 and for some reason my previously installed safety camera alerts have disappeared ! The software version number is now 8.010 Prior to this I had the speed camera database installed when I bought it.... Stupidly I didn't back up before updating.... What do I have to do ...  |

They are in the map folder (sorry, to be precise 'the folder with the name of your map') like the user POIs. Three files for each country; the UK ones are Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ov2 Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ov2.dct Safety_Cam_UK_TomTomOv2.ver Other countries have names such as the delightful: Fartkamera_SE_TomTom.ov2 etc |

Hi everyone, just a little confused about the free speed cameras I get with the new tomtom v4. I have a lifetime subscription to the pocketgps camera database. Is the one which comes as standard as good and do I get free updates through tomtom home? Or should I go back to what I know and install the pocketgps database with the bespoke voice alerts etc? Sorry but couldn't find the answers to... |

The 730T does NOT have a 2GB SD card, it has 2GB internal storage - a flash disk, for which you can think of being the same as the hard disk on your PC. It does have slot for SD card for additional storage if/when needed - note that it'll probably come with a blank piece of plastic in the slot. If you can't be bothered to read the FAQs, then you'll miss a lot of mega useful information. ... |

Today, I had to travel from Peterborough to Preston, and then back via Colne and Keighley. Using my 920 to plan my route, I enabled the TomTom speed cameras, and thought as TomTom cameras are now directional, they could act as a 2nd warning with a siren, along side my PGSPW cameras and their spoken alerts. Dennis, If you have a route set click on the top green banner of the map display to see a breakdown of the route, you can click on each turn to see a little map of each one. If you want to view the whole route, click 'tools' then 'browse map'. To see the 'distance to go' click on the 'speed' in the bottom left of the map display.
