Your essay should be typed, double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5" x 11") with 1" margins on all sides. You should use 10-12 pt. Times New Roman font or a similar font. Include a page header in the upper right-hand of every page. To create a page header, type the first 2-3 words of the title of the paper, insert five spaces, then give the page number. Here is the link to iLounge's software download page. Each application has a brief overview and link to the direct website of the software. Just make sure that you click on the "More Windows software" or "More Mac OS software" links. Here is a link to iLounge's review site. Click on the "Software - PC + Mac" link to expand all the PC/Mac software reviews. I am not sure if MediaPlay is ...

For one of my classes we had to create a grading rubric. Here is what it says for the format... v) APA format is not required, but solid writing skill in APA style and a title page are expected. I made everything up myself, what am I going to cite? I had a title page and all that, just not any references. She gave me a zero on that section and that gave me an overall grade on the paper of...

Thank you, Suzanne. That was a very clever solution! This is an APA dissertation and they are sticklers for having everything perfect. I really appreciate it. Regards, Mildred "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: I don't think I or anyone else has ever actually written an article about this, though perhaps I should. It's a fairly simple idea, though, that really doesn't ...

Glad I could help. It would be really helpful if thesis/dissertation committees (or the graduate office or whoever sets the requirements) would become familiar enough with Word (or the WP software de jour) and learn what can and can't be done within reason. Sometimes I think I'm glad I did my thesis in the days when, as long you stayed ...

I've previously had some students argue with me that they shouldn't have lost points for simply listing the title, author name, and page number, even though my directions clearly specify that all citations should be done in MLA and APA format. My suspicion is that most students who do that have never been graded down for their poor works cited pages in the past and simply don't know any...

I'm working on a graph for a psychology lab report. I had it all prettied up and set up exactly how it had to be. Then my partner sent me his data to work into it. when I tried to graph his, no lines would come up, just markers. I fiddled around in the data series options and stuff but I just can't get the lines back. I just opened up mine, which was perfect, and now its lines are gone...

Ever wonder what happens to a campaign after Election Day? Even after all the ballots are counted (or re-counted), there is still a lot of work to be done. Too often campaigns fail to build on what we\'ve accomplished and end up starting from scratch every two or four years. It doesn\'t have to be that way, and DFA Night School is here to help. DFA Night School: Shutting Down a ...
