Ok. So I put different tires on my 108. Instead of 185 VR14 I put 195 70 14. The speedometer is off a little. It is reading a little high at the moment. Does anyone know how I can adjust the cable to accommodate the different size tire? Or do I have to have a mechanic do it if I decide it bothers me that much? Another question for someone who would know: The headliner is not attached ...

I have the same problem on my 111 3.5. I installed a 3.27 axle and 16" wheels and as a result my speedo reads way low. I don't think there is any way to adjust your speedo to correct it. I did find a device that is a sender on the transmission and a motor on the speedometer so you can calibrate your speedpmeter but it is really expensive. If you find a solution post it so we can see what you ...

Just calibrated the new tire size on the COMAND unit. Here's the main issue... Does COMAND update the speedometer or is this just to update the navigation. Thought the navi was run off GPS, But the main question does Coman have any link to spedo. Thanks.

NO! 225/40/19's are TOO TALL! You will likely have rubbing issues and your speedometer will be WAY off! You need 225/35/19's. Compare new tires to your stock tire size here: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

do you know what rear end your car had originally? What's your current tire size? With those two bits of info we can calculate the number of additional teeth you need more accurately. Either that or give us a speedometer reading and actual speed at a few different speeds. If you've got a GPS unit that should be a piece of cake. Tell us what your speedo is reading when the gps says you're...

I went to Canadian Tire today and bought 4 205/55R16 tires for my focus and I am glad I did. they don't rub on the fenders and the speedometer is fine. the ride difference is very noticable. with the 50 size tire, the ride was harsher then the 55. the price difference between the 50 and 55 was large as well.

According to the tire size calculator I was messing with at lunch, at 50 mph my speedometer would read about 44, if I take in to account the inaccurate speedometer I have with possibly + 10% fudge, I should be almost going the speed my speedometer is telling me! I'll verify with my tom-tom once I find a better way to mount then using duct tape!

I currently have P195 65 R15. I would like to go P215 65 R15 next tire shopping. But according to that chart I can not do that? If I were to go P215 60 R15 how hard is it to fix the speedometer? I'm normally real firm about using the tire size that is printed in the door panel, but it seems weird to me that my other car that weighs 1000 LBS less has wider tires than this one (P205 60 ...
