I have just removed carpeting in my home and discovered terazzo tile underneath. I was replacing with hardwood, but now am entertaining the idea of restoring the tile. Does anyone know an average cost for restoring terrazzo?

quarry tile/pre-sealer before grout I have about 1500' of 6x6 quarry tile to grout and I've been poking around trying to find out if I should seal prior to grouting. I'm using Laticrete's permacolor grout and was thinking of sealing with StoneTech's Bulletproof sealer before grouting. After it cures, sealing ...

Subfloor noise under tile in high-traffic area About three years ago I remodeled my kitchen and den and installed 16" x 16" slate floors in both, and recently I've begun to hear a noise in one specific spot (literally under one tile) in the den when someone steps on it, sounding as if something is flexing. Sequence of Events - Hardi/Redgard/Tile? I'm getting ready to put up a new tub surround, and I'm confused about the order of events with using Hardibacker and a liquid waterproofing membrane like Redgard. From what I've read around here, you should tape/thinset the seams between the Hardi at the same time you tile. If I'm using ...

It appears WWJ requires the tile sizes to divide evenly into 180 degrees. The common size for level 0 is 36 degrees and the other levels in the tile pyramid are factors of 2. I would like to instead determine the best tile size based on the original data resolution so that at the bottom (high res) level the tile matches the base data resolution with no interpolation needed. Another use case...
