Thank you for the info. I knew about all those myths though. And, I'm kind of somewhere in between really liking it and not wanting it at all. I have always had a very high sex drive but with pregnancy, this had decreased a lot. I usually want to have sex once a day. Sometimes, I'd rather just masturbate as aposed to actually having sex. This is probably because I usually just use clitorial ...

Consider yourself lucky!!!! The first trimester for me both times was very hard. Lots of vomitting and nausea 24/7 - didn't want to do anything except curl up and die really. Second trimester was not too bad - can't really complain about that. Third trimester for pregnancy #1 was full of aches and pains, restless legs (i.e. no sleep whatsoever), sore hips and back, contractions ...

She actually had braxton hicks contractions this morning during our session, for those who don't know they are mild "practice" contractions.

hiya well what can i say i am still a little shocked from what the ob said. He said that you either rest at home or go on bedrest at the hospital. They have no idea what's causing it but they can't give me anything for it. I have to keep tabs on it and if it gets worse i have to go back in the hospital to be checked out. And if i go back into the hospital and its worse then they ...

I swear I felt the same thing yesterday. Not actuall contractions, but very light braxton hicks contractions. It kinda felt like my stomach tightened up a bit for about a minute and then it was gone....it did it twice. I felt exactly like a braxton hick contraction, at least what I remember of them. I thought it was weird and now I'm curious when the braxton hicks contractions start. I'll have to...

Both of my midwives started recommending wine in my third trimester as both a means to fall asleep (occasionally) and as a means to test if contractions were the real thing. I never tried it -- I'm a little overly cautious -- but both swore they'd never seem any harm come from light drinking in the 3rd trimester.

Replying to: Bedrest :( I've been having some pain as well but except for 10/18 I don't think it has been as bad for me as it is for you. I am not on bed rest but have been ordered to take it easy. I've been having issues with contractions and back pain. (I ended up at labor and delivery on 10/18 with severe back pain and contractions every 2 min). A lot of my back pain has been due to a...

You may just be having stretching or cramps? I doubt it's BH as the true definition of that is: Braxton Hicks contractions, also known as false labour (British English, false labor in American English) or practice contractions. Braxton Hicks are sporadic uterine contractions that actually start at about 6 weeks , although one will not feel them that early. Most women start feeling them ...

They think what caused the problems was due to a polyp they found at week 9. They thought it would be nothing until the spotting turned into heavy bleeding. They then removed the polyp and I had a cerlogae (not sure of spelling). I continuted to bleed after that. The blood caused contraction at week 21. They were able to stop them, until the day before week 23. After 16 hours of ...

Okay ladies, fess up; are you getting enough water?? How much water do you drink every day? Now that we're all hitting the 3rd trimester, we need to make sure we are all getting enough water to keep those contractions at bay!!

Just a quick question, This is my first child so I really dont know what to expect. I' m 37 weeks pregnant and on Sunday, I had painful contractions every half hour for about 5 hours straight (from 7 to 12am)I know they weren't BHC because I've had those before. And the whole weekend I had a BM like 3 or 4 times a day (sorry TMI). Monday I just had contractions in the morning for about 2 hours ...
