Plus Ultra: Supporters of abortion feel bad about the killing part, Killing in itself is not intrinsically a big deal. If I slap myself moderately hard, I kill at least a few cells. That isn't a crime. Its what you kill that determines the moral value of the killing. Killing cancerous tissue is a good thing to do. Killing a person is, usually, a bad thing to do. Slapping ...

at 18 weeks, i had only gained 2 pounds. i was regular weight to begin with, and my doctor told me that ideally, they like normal weight women to gain 20-25 lbs because it means that they took in enough calories for the baby. but he told me the numbers really don't mean a whole lot, and just because the numbers aren't going up, it doesn't mean your baby wont be healthy and a good weight. everyone...

THE DRAFTED: "Roe v. Wade only protects first and second trimester abortions. Fetal nerve cells can react to trauma, but pain reception requires a neocortex--which is not formed until early in the third trimester. Fetuses begin to develop a minimal brain stem at 7 weeks, but are not capable of consciousness until the third trimester and most likely remain unconscious until birth. The ...

Quote: Quote by: Jinei Ok. Here again we're faced with the question of what makes us human. I would agree that the most important step toward self-reliance is being born - and like you said, other humans would be able to care for you. But self-reliance is not how we define human character. For example, a patient on a respirator still reserves human rights as long as ...

With the first one it was about 7 weeks and it lasted the entire first trimester, then returned the third trimester. This time was about 8 weeks, and was less so than my first pregnancy... but I occasionally still get nauseous. The major stuff was done about 16 weeks or so. [:)]

Week 1: Getting ready It may seem strange, but you're not actually pregnant the first week or two of the time allotted to your pregnancy. Yes, you read that correctly! Conception typically occurs about two weeks after your period begins. To calculate your due date, your health care provider will count ahead 40 weeks from the start of your last period. This means your period is counted...

As your pregnancy progresses, your baby may begin to seem more real. You may hear the heartbeat at your prenatal appointments, and your enlarging abdomen may force your favorite jeans to the back of the closet. While you're adjusting to the changes in your body, fetal development takes on new meaning. Two months ago, your baby was simply a cluster of cells. Now he or she has functioning ...
