sure am, just concentrating on plastering for now, i never really enjoyed tiling. i did however quite enjoy the prep work... leveling floors, boarding walls/floors etc ive got 2 more years at college doing carpentry and joinery aswell to get through, think ill leave the final finishing stages to someone else, some sick fool who actually enjoys silione and grout perhaps? least on the bright...

Would like to recommend a guy who fitted my floor called Richard Brown of R.B Flooring contactable on 07841203221 or brownr83@aol.com . He did an excellent job and I was surprised by how cheap he was as well, also according to his business card he does decking and other joinery work and fre quotes.

I have a joinery furniture business so am quite used to using shavings up! most oak etc. gets used for the paths at the lottie. Softwood is used as bedding for chickens and guinea pigs etc before going on the compost.... and the dusty rubbish and offcuts fuel the woodburner. For use with horses it is usually softwood (ie pine) dust extracted and definately not treated as Nicos points out. ...
