I'm looking to sell my Ultimate Converter Concepts 9" converter built by Lenny Croteau. He is simply the best there is, as far as converters go. Ultimate Converter - Home Converter is a 9" setup for a 4V / TH400 blower combo. My car cut 1.33 - 1.35 60' times in a 3500lb car. Works great with a blower setup - stalls nice and high (~6k) to get the revs up so the car leaves hard but is SUPER ...

I know that TH400 conversions have been talked to death but I need a bit of help. I am just about ready to install the trans in my '06 GT and would greatly appreciate some info. Can I use my OEM crossmember? If so, what do I need to do to modify it? What rear trans mount do I need. If anyone has pictures that would be super helpful. I really appreciate the feedback guys.

Looking for a TH400 and D20 that came out of 70's era Wagoneer or J-Truck. Also need the crossmember. Let me know if anyone comes across one or perhaps a whole vehicle sold for parts. Thanks -- Bob

Just wondering what it takes to install the TH400 onto the 2JZ.. I'm guessing a shortened driveshaft, transmission mounts.. What about bellhousing wise tho? Are there kits offered for a bolt up operation? Shifter position a big deal? Just trying to get some info before I try and do it all with blind knowledge..

How much, if any is normal ? I just finally finished my swap to a 400... and on the maiden voyage,(approx 5miles easy driving) noticed some noise coming from the pump area once it got hot. I've never heard a noisey one before, except the old powerglides that were notoriuos for it. It sounds almost like a 'glide, but not quite as loud. When it was cold, I didn't hear anything at all... ...

So, why is it that one TC will make more heat than an identical (but admittedly higher cost) stall speed converter? Anyone know what affects the efficiency of a TC? Case in point- I had a TCI converter (low dollar), a TH400 w/good parts, fresh, shift kit, no trans brake. 3K RPM stall. Engine made about 450 HP @5200 RPM x 550 ft/lbs TQ @ 3400 RPM. Was fine, for all intents and purposes....

Guys, just curious about possibilities to improve, if even possible, the mileage on my 1994 Silverado 3500 dually shop/tow truck sporting a 454 TBI engine. it already got a 4l80e which is already a lot better then the previous TH400. I am looking at changes to engine as an rebuild is due soon, has currently 160.000 mls on it. Runs great but could run even better, at the ...
