Hi everyone: I've been struggling with this for quite some time. Can someone suggest a good text-to-speech site or software to read literally a couple of sentences of text (with a female North American voice). I need it for a futuristic/robotic voice effect. Thanks in advance.

Well, I thought about it but I need a female voice and I'm a guy... so here's one problem I also asked my girlfriend to read it for me but she has no skills in voice modulation, etc. so she can't maintain a steady pitch and tone throughout the whole recording like I want it (for an "evil" artificial intelligence voice effect). Thirdly, I don't have a big budget to hire a professional actress...

Greeting to all, Well, I actaully have intention to develop an application with Speech API and so far I have come across TTS with English version. Does anyone knows how to develop a TTS engine with different languages? And, I would also like to ask about the tools used for this purpose. Thank you.

I tried a full uninstall within Windows 7 and then a re-install. The Acapela Heather installs successfully (so it says), but it is not listed under the voice selection, in the TTS Windows properties. It will not work since the "MS Agent" is no longer compatible with Win 7.
