I am producing this error: 'Windows Presentation Foundation Terminal Server Print W has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.' This occurs when an XP sp3 client prints from a W2K8 terminal server with 'Use Easy print driver first' and 'Only redirect to the clients default printer' are set in the server's local policy. I have tried: 1 the MS KB946411 fix. 2...

Yep that is right.  I think what Joson was referring to as far as adding the newest printer drivers was meant to refer to the client, not the server.  TS Easy Print requires no drivers installed on the server. Lots of people with your issue and different solutions. XP Service Pack 3 and Easy Print Another thread, similar advice: http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/...

Is your server a domain controller? There is a known problem with print redirection on DCs. In that case the ACLs on %windir%\system32\spool has to be relaxed. Even if it is not a DC, try relaxing the ACLs and see if it works. Thanks! Marked As Answer by Lionel Chen - MSFT MSFT , Moderator Wednesday, November 25, 2009 10:56 AM

I was able to deal with this issue. I forgot to literally install each and every printer on my Terminal Server. You can close this thread.
