It is not the spending that I object to, or the borrowing. It is the manner of its use. Tax cuts are a very poor way of doing it. Increasing benefits is much more effective with a marginal return greater than the actual spend. Though long term that is not a good way. The tax cuts that Bush did a few months ago were 80% saved so highly ineffective. The same will happen here with any tax rebate. ...

That's hardly true. Surely you can see that. Firstly there's BSOG. This replaced fuel duty rebate and is provided as bus operators are classed as running a service that is beneficial to the public. As the mount you would receive falls under the monthly tax allowance you shouldn't be taxed. It depends on your payroll office though as to whether you don't get taxed at all - or if you will recieve a rebate. Kim x x x x
