big fan of Lynn samuels on sirius 146, the other day a guy called in about a topic, and in passing he mentioned he won the lottery for fifty million. listening to the tone of his voice, he was a really happy man. "who wouldn't be after winning that amount?" one of the things i'll take from his phone call was,  once he had the money every day he just kept making more. since there ...

They won't shut down Fox news. However we might bail out Fox cause we must have American news agency, then hey I (Obama) own Fox news now so I think you should sell yourself to BBC. BTW we gave up the Internet and now are turning over control of the FCC to the UN agency "Hates Evil Americans." Good luck radio stations! See, it could never happen here.

Sansa Clip and Fuze have a nice automatic bookmark system that remember on their own where you left off in an audiobook/podcast/radio show, without user interaction - even if you listen to other music in the meantime. Their FFWD/REW implementation isn't that swift, however. Touch screen players like the S9, D2, P3, X1000 have a major advantage when it comes to FFWD/REW through long files, due...

I haven't heard a thing left or right for months. I like listening to liberal and conservative talk radio. The RW talk is Pavlov's bell for the wingnuts. I like knowing what they are getting fed. The liberal talk isn't quite like that though. Depending on the talker, some are just M$M regurgitators but others are really great for cutting through the bullshit(Hartmann, Maddow).

Just my reaction as a career media person... The dinosaur media, characterized by print, MSM television evening newscasts such as Cronkite, Huntley & Brinkley, etc, etc, and to a lesser degree, local AM radio truly oriented to the surrounding community, are suffering from diminishing revenue streams as well as audiences. In our current environment, spending short supply ad dollars in ...
