I really like the Norfolk Airport! We have flown out of it many times and usually on SW. The flights run semi-full, but you are not packed in like sardines! If you are flying to Orlando, there will be lots of families with young kids on board. (BTW...you can usually get really great DINGS to Orlando from ORF. We once flew $50 round trip/person thanks to a DING). We have never used a ...

Am orf to Arizona/Utah area for the New Year for 3 weeks (delayed honeymoon). Both myself and GF (errrr I mean wife) are keen photographers (she's a Nikonite with a D300 and some good glass) and I'm a 1ds3 owner (with the 16-35 ii/24-105 and the 100-400. I'd be grateful if those with the experience of those areas of the US could give me the benefits of their experience. Any must see places?...

I know this topic's been covered several times before and I've posted this on Steve's Oly forum too but here goes:  I've not been too happy with the RAW to jpeg conversions done by Adobe's ACR/LR when compared to what the incam Jpeg engine of the E3 seems to be able to produce, specifically in terms of detail and grain. I finally managed to pull my finger out and got some pics done for you to ...

Mileage Run Discussion

So I decided to put this together because it’s that time of the year where many of us feel the need to take a mileage run to hit that magical level of miles where we’ll re-up our status or perhaps even achieve status for the first time. I know there’s other “How to Make a Mileage Run” threads out there, but this is going to be a barebones introduction to what I’ve determined to be the easiest ...

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Cannon Fodder. Could it be because this game drove people nuts?! My friend and I played this to death because we're both as anal as one another and wanted to complete it without losing a single soldier . No kidding! Sadly my discs became corrupt at about level 16 (of, I think, 20). One of the 'best' levels i.e. most likely to drive us insane ...

I was wondering, what are some of you guys and girls favorite planes at your local airport? When I lived in Inglewood, LAX was my local airport, and 747s was my favorite planes there, followed by 727s and 777s. When I live in San Diego I was more into ships then panes, but I enjoyed watching Fed EX late evening DC10 or MD10 departers. Now that I live in Norfolk VA, the main civian airport...
