HELP! my laptop mouse keeps not working. I've tried: restarting my computer uninstalling and reinstalling the driver The first time it happened un-installing and reinstalling the driver worked, but not now. I also heard that synaptics released, or is releasing a multi-touch driver that would give you "similar" gestures as the macbook pro pad. I just got one and am very impressed however the media touch pad does not work -- out of the box -- the led's are on but nothing happens if I touch them -- no volume change, no turning wireless on or off etc following some instructions i looked at the synaptics driver -- there is no mediatouch icon or section there -- no lux pad as some describe. tried to restore that driver and no luck ...

sometimes when you get a new touch pad they dont work. theres lots of reasons. Maybe you probably didnt do the disk refragment or you didnt install all the software you need. thats as much as i could help. sorry

yeah, that's a setting in the synaptics driver. you can change this now with the new CC under "Touch".
