I have been having hot flashes and night sweats for close to a year now. The hot flashes aren't too bad. Night sweats are bad because they wake me up. Lately I have been breaking out with acne. Is this also a symptom of menopause. I have rosacea and have topical treatments for that. However, I don't know what to use on the acne on my face because of the rosacea. Any suggestions?  |

I have no doubt I am in perimenopause all the symptoms are there hot/cold flashes, night sweats, lack of concentration, depression, mood swings, dryness, decreased sex drive....BUT now I am experiencing a new symptom and want to know if anyone else has had or is having this same problem. I have posted a few times before having had issues with an AF that cannot make up her mind. I want to say first I am only 27 and have 5 children. Also, all the females in my family have had a hysterectomy by their mid 30's. I would gladly discuss this with them but they tend to still live in the old fashion ways of, " We don't talk about those things". So I know virtually nothing about it. ... |

Thankfully,I don't have many menopause symptoms at all (and am now 9 months without a period at age 50)BUT I do have to say I have noticed what seems to be a pretty sudden change to my facial skin. I have read through some of the other messages, but I don't see my specific question. I am 45 years old, and I had a tubal ligation 22 years ago. The first symptom I have had is missing periods. Ok here is my suggestion. Sounds to me like disseminated tuberculosis. The night sweats are particularly characteristic of this. TB can infect the bowel usually after an initial lung infection which healed without being noticed. The visit to Gambia is also a clue. Hello & welcome! You are NOT alone! I am still thrown by physical illness & sensations. Sometimes real. Sometimes imagined;) I have BTDT when it comes to ER visits.
