I have been having hot flashes and night sweats for close to a year now. The hot flashes aren't too bad. Night sweats are bad because they wake me up. Lately I have been breaking out with acne. Is this also a symptom of menopause. I have rosacea and have topical treatments for that. However, I don't know what to use on the acne on my face because of the rosacea. Any suggestions?

Carrie ~ Welcome to the discussion boards and good luck with your ttc journey. First off, I'm a guy. Weird, I know. I can tell you, though, what our experience has been with clomid. It seems to be the drug of first choice for all doctors prescribing for infertility issues. The side effects can be kinda rough, but when you've reached the point of taking drugs to have a baby, you're ...

I have posted a few times before having had issues with an AF that cannot make up her mind. I want to say first I am only 27 and have 5 children. Also, all the females in my family have had a hysterectomy by their mid 30's. I would gladly discuss this with them but they tend to still live in the old fashion ways of, "We don't talk about those things". So I know virtually nothing about it. ...

Thankfully,I don't have many menopause symptoms at all (and am now 9 months without a period at age 50)BUT I do have to say I have noticed what seems to be a pretty sudden change to my facial skin. I still have very nice skin for my age and get compliments BUT the skin on my face seems to have suddenly thinned somewhat over the last few months- esp around the middle and lower part of my ...

I have read through some of the other messages, but I don't see my specific question. I am 45 years old, and I had a tubal ligation 22 years ago. The first symptom I have had is missing periods. I have always had irregular periods, so I don't usually notice, but I know I haven't had one since at least August. What I find unusual is that I haven't had any night sweats or hot flashes. I may be ...

I ended up seeing Dr. Krop Cook in Reston. See was very nice, but did not really do anything or test me for pcos, just said she thought I should see a gastro and take BCP. So I dont' know what to do now, she said she was totally unconcered with my cysts even though I am in terrible pain ever since what I think was a rupture because I had fluid in the pouch of douglas, and starting from the ...

I cannot get a diagnosis. Please help.

Ok here is my suggestion. Sounds to me like disseminated tuberculosis. The night sweats are particularly characteristic of this. TB can infect the bowel usually after an initial lung infection which healed without being noticed. The visit to Gambia is also a clue. I think that many or most of the other symptoms are being caused by the large amounts of medications. The only way to separate ...

Hello & welcome! You are NOT alone! I am still thrown by physical illness & sensations. Sometimes real. Sometimes imagined;) I have BTDT when it comes to ER visits. If you know you have anxiety, more-than-likely this is simply a symptom of anxiety. Also, antidepressants in combination w/therapy is the most successful way to treat anxiety disorders. Have you considered either? I finally...

What a night. Well, my day had his INR done, its 1.3 and started the Lovenox. My mom gave him his first shot at the Coumdin Center and then again this morning before he headed to work at 4am. Well, after the shot my parents had taken two cars last night and met there, my father went to get some blood work drawn at the lab and my mom went to the store and they would meet home. Well my Dad called ...
