I love Sweeney Todd , so don't get me wrong, but I think that this game would be better suited to the Musicals board. http://us.imdb.com/board/bd0000027/threads/ . "everything's closing in, weirdness on the periphery."

My 2008 and 2007 releases are pretty much limited to theatre viewings, so I don't have too many of the foreign-indie stuff since my local theaters don't show that. What the hell? I'll do you 55 better and post my entire rankings for both years: 2008 01. Changeling 02. The Dark Knight 03. WallE 04. Horton Hears A Who 05. Iron Man 06. The Bank Job 07. Cloverfield 08. Charlie...

Sorry to be a latecomer joining in a debate thats been running for some time, but can I just offer a few thoughts on one of the most frequently-heard criticisms of ALWs work thats its repetitive and all sounds the same. As for being repetitive, some repetition is desirable in a musical, partly because audiences like it and partly because some music is better appreciated when heard ...

I was thinking about making something like this to post here- cool! Sad though, cause no one ever seems to like the music I like. (That I know, I mean) ~What is your favorite genre of music? Rock (specifically post-grunge) ~Why? For years, if someone asked what music I like I'd say I listen to everything. I got hooked on Daughtry when they put their cd out (okay, hooked on Chris ...

I would start with the image of a bird. I know, it sound cliché, but what is more free than a bird? You know there are some birds that do not sing when they are behind bars, why is that? A good song to look at is "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" from Sweeney Todd - look at the lyrics. Then you can look at the fact that freedom isn't free, it's gained. For example, a person who committed a crime ...

"Theres a hole in the world like a great black pit. And its filled with people who are filled with ****. And the vermin of the world inhabit it." I watched Sweeney Todd for the first time tonight, it was pretty intense, lol. Those are my favorite lines from it, haha. But anyways, about the subject of this discussion. So, last week I had IMed a...

Or Through the Looking Glass. I mean, he obviously didn't read La Planète des Singes or the English translation Planet of the Apes novel, never read up on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, nor read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, watch a Sweeney Todd musical, read a biography on Ed Wood or read any Batman publication... ever. In general, I like his directing, but he has to be the most ...

After reading someone else's thread asking about whether the actors who play Raoul go on to play the Phantom as well, that got me wondering: have there ever been any Meg's who've gone on to play Christine? 'Cause I think I remember reading about one actress (her name escapes me at the moment) who I think was originally the Meg understudy and then went on to play the Mirror Bride and then ...
