Went to Krakow from Saturday 8th to Thursday 13th from Shannon Airport. Had originally looked into booking it through budget travel but the price went up so I decided to look up stuff individually. Got flights on Ryanair for 222 euros including a bag each and airport check in. Stayed in the Sheraton Hotel for 5 nights for 664 euros including breakfast. Very good price, booked it on 1800hotels.com...

Recs: 0 Re: Investing in simple pleasures... good read, thanks.. We have just 2 dogs, labs, and my wife is a dog food expert. Good to see that you stoped using the OLD ROY. If you have dogfood questions, just ask. I sit at my desk overlooking the C&D Canal, with the ships going by and the fall colors almost over, we have the ducks, geese, and last year a large ...

Cal, I understand your feelings and worry about your children--as they say, once a mother always a mother. I hope that they can find some kind of work soon and that the unemployment situation for everybody will pick up soon. Our hopes have to go with Obama and I certainly hope he has some kind of a solution to help this country out. We certainly need it. I hope you have been getting some ...

Looking out at the beautiful lake--but it's dull and dreary today and the ducks just flew by. It's funny how I am so involved with the birds on the lake now. The Mallards all seem to stay together as a family, the swans push their young ones on to a new life as soon as they are full grown, and having 5 babies this year I guess 4 of them already moved on and now only one swims up and down the...

Saturday... I am much better today. I'm hoping I'll make church tomorrow. Still coughing, but not bad. Energy levels remained fairly good all day. Haven't had a nap yet. ~ playing on Ravelry.com. Updating my notebook. I've done more knitting this year than I thought I did. ~ that got me going through all my patterns and knitting books. I marked patterns I'd like to knit in my ...

If you have the chance, take a couple of hours to visit the Royal British Columbia Museum . It's about 100m as the crow flies from your hotel, and is a great intro to our lovely province. Not to be missed are the First Nations gallery and the BC150 exhibit (a temporary exhibit ending in January) - they have a mock drive-in theatre as part of the latter showing old BC travel/tourism films from ...

It's very gratifying to see the quality and quantity of the posts in this thread, from both sides of the 49th parallel.
