Right then, I've got 5:1 surround sound system, all the speakers go to a DVD player, which is connected to the TV. I recently bought a HDTV and now need a blueray player so I might as well get the PS3. Here is my question: Can I use the HDMI from the PS3 to the TV for video and use the digital audio from the PS3 to the surround sound at the same time? Will the PS3 output both at the same time? my sony surround does not have HDMI input. Thanks!

I have a Sony surround sound system and it came with a RM dock for iPods. My wife and I both have older Nanos. Mine works fine in the dock, her's doesn't. Software is up to date. If I lean in and the volume is jacked I can hear it faintly. The port on her Nano is fine, as it works with our speaker dock in the bedroom. Weird. Any ideas??

I dont really have a sound card, just the dedicated that comes with the motherboard. I'm using a Denon d1001 and would like to know if there is any way to improve the surround sound experience. Right now its pretty "meh" and ill be playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 a lot in the coming weeks/months, so i need a good Surround sound experience :P

I just bought some new speakers. The base speaker, front speakers, and center work but not the other two. I have them hooked up to an old hp pavillion. How come its like that? Could they maybe be messed up?

I have creative a500 5.1 surround sound speakers and want to connect them up to my ps3. The speakers do not have an optical in port so i can't connect that way and i was just wondering if there is any way to connect the black orange and green analogue cables up to the ps3 or if theres some kind of converter to a digital optical cable that i can get that will work with the ps3?

I have a Sony STR DE 575 receiver and I am trying to hook up my Wii through my system for surround sound and video. I have Satellite and it works fine, the DVR works fine but my VCR has no video, only sound. So hoohing it up through the VCR is out.
